About Us

AC Archaeology and Heritage Ltd is one of the longest-running, privately-owned and independent historic environment companies in the UK and has been providing heritage advice and site-based fieldwork services across the South West, West Country and further afield since 1991. Based in Bradninch near Exeter, Devon, our team of highly-experienced heritage and archaeological professionals carry out more than 200 projects each year and are primarily focused on the delivery of client-based services relating to development through the planning system, from initial built heritage, historic building and archaeological advice at the outset of a project, through to delivery of high-quality final reports prepared by our in-house team of specialists.

Our client base includes small and large-scale developers, private individuals, utility companies, government agencies, community groups and local authorities. Projects we do include small house extensions, pipelines, landscape studies, historic buildings, solar farms, business parks and large-scale housing developments. Whatever the size of the project we are committed to providing expert, pragmatic and cost-effective advice tailored to meet individual client needs.
