Stuart has worked in commercial and research archaeology for nearly 18 years and attained an MSc in Landscape Archaeology from Oxford University in 2020. Stuart has worked throughout the UK but mostly in the South West, including directing numerous small to large-scale excavations and trench evaluations. He has a wealth of excavation experience from both urban and rural sites within the UK and has worked on university research projects in Carthage, Spain, Albania and the Middle East.  Stuart has experience of working with students, volunteers and various aspects of outreach such as giving site tours, lectures and assisting with collaborative art projects. In his role as Project Officer with AC archaeology this involves overall responsibility on site for health and safety, the implementation of archaeological methodology and high standards of archaeological recording. He is first aid trained, has SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) certification and other health and safety accreditation.
