Lorna has previously worked in both commercial archaeology and heritage consultancy for Oxford Archaeology and Terence O’Rourke and began working for AC archaeology in 2019. She has extensive experience working on archaeological research sites both in the UK and abroad. Lorna has studied History with the Open University and has a first-class degree in Archaeology from the University of Exeter. She is an experienced researcher and in her current role she manages the production of high-quality historic environment assessments, heritage statements and ES chapters using a variety of research methods. Lorna has produced supporting documents to accompany planning applications for a range of large and small-scale developments and renewable energy projects as well as producing the heritage input for a number of Landscape Recovery projects. She has also produced numerous site appraisals/technical notes to inform pre-application requests, assist in site selection and provide layout advice.

Outside of work, Lorna enjoys hiking, running and generally getting out to explore new places in the South West and further afield. She can regularly be found on Dartmoor or the South West Coast Path, and often gets distracted on route by the multitude of historic and archaeological sites this region has to offer.
