Debra is an experienced archaeologist with a strong background in environmental archaeology. Her work integrates environmental analysis with practical field archaeology, allowing for a nuanced understanding of past landscapes, human activity, and ecological change. Since 2015, she has been employed by AC archaeology and Heritage as their Administrative and Environmental Officer, a dual role that combines specialist environmental archaeology with essential organisational and project support. She is responsible for coordinating environmental sampling and analysis across a range of archaeological projects, ensuring that environmental data is collected, processed, and interpreted to professional standards.
Alongside her environmental work, Debra plays a central role in the day-to-day administration of the organisation. Her responsibilities include project coordination, maintaining records and documentation, supporting compliance with archaeological, health and safety and planning requirements, alongside liaising with project staff, external specialists, and clients. Through this work, she helps to ensure that projects run smoothly from initial planning through to completion.
Outside of professional practice, her interests are domestic in nature, including reading, gardening, time spent with her cats and an appreciation of wine.
