John has been a professional archaeologist since 1985, for the last 25 years as Project Manager for AC archaeology and Exeter Archaeology. Since becoming a Director in 2008, the company has grown to be the largest and probably most successful heritage and archaeology business in the South West. As part of his continuing role, John is focused on the continued development of and improvements to the business, as well as providing expert archaeological and heritage advice across all development sectors.

 John has provided archaeological and heritage advice input for clients such as Imerys Minerals Ltd, Persimmon Homes, Bovis Homes, Redrow Homes, Cavanna Homes, Historic England, the National Trust, Duchy of Cornwall, Dorset County Council, Devon County Council, Western Power, Wessex Water and South West Water.

In his spare time John enjoys live music, reading, travelling, cooking and is unfortunately a die-hard Everton FC supporter.
