Laurence has been working for AC archaeology and heritage since 2017 with a background in archaeological fieldwork. He has been a member of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists since 2018 and holds health and safety qualifications including Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme, Site Manager Safety Training Scheme, IOSH Managing Safely and CAT and Genny Training. He is a fully licenced multi-rotor UAV (drone) pilot with A2 CofC and GVC licences, and has carried out a range of surveys, including using 3D laser scanners, to prepare 3D models of sites and artefacts.

In his current role of Fieldwork and Health and Safety Manager Laurence has managed, and worked on, a wide range of archaeological projects, including large-scale excavations, trench evaluations and watching briefs for clients such as The National Trust, National Grid, Bellway Homes, XL Planning, Greenslade Taylor Hunt and numerous private individuals. He also oversees health and safety for all fieldwork projects, including the preparation of risk assessments and method statements, implementation of safe systems of work and mitigation strategies.

Outside of work Laurence is a keen musician, photographer and walker, and can often be found out on the remotest parts of Dartmoor with his camera.
