Andrew has 30 years of professional archaeological experience in the UK, joining AC archaeology in 2011 from another local archaeological contractor. He has directed fieldwalking, evaluation, excavation, and historic building appraisal and recording projects across the south and southwest of England. His main specialism is post-medieval archaeology, especially in the fields of industrial and military archaeology, landscape archaeology, and the archaeology of standing buildings. Andrew manages our heritage and historic buildings team, who provide a range of services including preparing desk-based assessments, landscape studies, pre-application appraisals and the production of heritage statements for Listed Buildings, as well as undertaking post-determination building surveys. Andrew has a detailed understanding of heritage legislation, policy and guidance so is able to provide clients with practical, informed and constructive advice.
