Alison has worked in commercial archaeology, and for AC archaeology and Heritage,  since 2016. She has extensive knowledge of archaeology in the South West, with expertise across all aspects of fieldwork, including watching briefs, evaluations and excavations. Alison has worked on sites of all periods and types and plays a key role in training and mentoring new staff. She holds a dual role within the organisation, combining fieldwork with responsibility for preparing site archives for deposition in museums, ensuring the long-term curation and accessibility of archaeological records. Alison is a qualified Mental Health First Aider, supporting both professional development and wellbeing.

In her own time Alison is a keen gardener and is particularly interested in growing roses, herbs and heritage tomatoes. Alison also loves researching plant history and usage, and  enjoys pottery and painting.
